We have cooked this multiple times in our household for Taco Tuesday. Each time we try a little different spice or heat with the taco seasoning. We’ve also used this for parties and guests have loved it! Put together a topping station with this and ground beef options and you’re all set!

How to Keto/Low Carb/Slow Cook That Chicken:

Start by placing your chicken breasts right in the bottom of your slow cooker—no extra prep needed. Next, sprinkle a generous amount of taco seasoning over the chicken, letting all those bold spices sink in. Then, pour your favorite salsa right on top, making sure the chicken is completely coated in that saucy goodness.

Now, it’s time to let your slow cooker do the heavy lifting. Cook the chicken on low for 6–8 hours (perfect if you’re heading out for the day) or on high for 3–4 hours if you need dinner on the table faster. Once the chicken is tender and cooked through, grab two forks and shred it directly in the slow cooker, mixing it into the flavorful juices.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 3-4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 Cup 1 Salsa

  • 1 Packet 1 Taco seasoning

  • Your favorite taco toppings

Directions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the chicken breasts.
  • Pour the salsa over the chicken breasts.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks.
